ACCUMULATE COUPONS
The first step to couponing is to start accumulating coupons. The first source of coupons is the Sunday newspaper. There are usually 2 inserts in each paper and sometimes include extra inserts from Proctor & Gamble. It is great to get multiple copies of newspaper. This is where you will need to begin:
1. Subscribe to multiple copies.
2. Family, friends, and neighbors are a great way to get multiple copies.
3. If there is a special on a product you want to stock up on, you can buy coupons on Ebay for very cheap. Just be sure to buy early in the week, and communicate with the seller so they know your timeline before you buy.
4. You can also ask a convenience store that you go to often if they would be willing to save their Sunday Newspapers for you once they are done selling them. Most gas stations in the Boise area sell Sunday papers all week, so you could go pick them up on Saturday night.
There are a few other sources to find coupons:
1. Internet Printables (IP's) - There are too many ssites to list...I will try to post any great ones I find. Also a great place to find them is grocerysmarts.com.
2. You can also find coupons in the grocery store. There are 3 different places in the grocery store.
The small red machines set up along the shelves in the stores. These machines are called blinkies.
Coupons on products (these are known as peelies).
Tear off Coupons are located on an aisle or endcaps.
3. Coupon Swapbox - this is a box set up where couponers place the coupons they don't use in the box for others to go through them to see if there is something they may be able to use. This is something that you may be able to do as well. A great location is churches, daycares, libraries, etc.
